Trips to Tirupati II

After the first time, in later trips i have always been the only person in my group who would tell my parents that we were going in the bike and go, that was the amount of freedom i had in the house.

I have had a couple of near misses on the roads to the place, once I almost went off the road and rolled on to the other side of the highway, this was because i mis-judged the angle of the left turn which came up, even now after a couple of years whenever i take that road i remember my near miss and thank the lord.

One time myself and rep had gone alone, i guess that was the first time we went without any backup vehicle, we had started early in the morning, it was very dark and i had my vega helmet with sun visor on it. I could not see clearly puttin it on.

Just as we were near Tiruvallur, i was driving the vehicle and bam, woom , wooosh. one second we were on the vehicle driving at 50-60 and the next moment we were on the road fallen and dazed. I had come off the road and when i tried coming back up to the road, we fell.

Boy, we escaped with minor injuries thanks to our helmets, but our dresses were not so lucky and we were now in a great dilemna, should we turn back taking this as a negative sign from god or should we persist with our trip putting the faith on him, we decided to press on and boy that was one helluva trip.

Others for another post.......

No 2 face is the same!

I consider this the single most wonderful thing to us humans, no other species can beat this wonder. No single human in this planet Earth is similar in facial features(except identical twins).

Just think about it, if you are in office, college or school just look around you, NO FACE would look the same. Yes there may be some similarities here and there between blood relatives, but that does not take away the greatness of this uniqueness.

Something i was thinking today, so what have you thought today???

Trips to Tirupati I

I first went to Tirupathi on bike when I was in my UG, went with my school friends Mac and Satish.

Went without informing our parents that we were going on a bike, but my clever dad happnd to note the odo reading in my bike and I had a tough time explaining that my friends house was not 300 kms away.

Anyway that was the first time and could return on the same day itself. The second time was the most memorable, took of on September 12, 2001. Dont ask me how i remember the 2nd time so clearly and not the first time. Look at the date again, it was the very next day after the Sep 11 attack, watched all night the daring attack on the WTC and left early in the morning the next day.

As the story unfolded the next day we were all shell shocked. We had darshan on the same day and returned in the night, boy had a couple of near misses on the Chennai-Tirupathi highway in the night. It was fun with trepidition.

Rest of the subsequent trips in another post.

Rajini & Kamal should retire

After seeing the latest photos of Rajini in 'Sivaji' and also photos of Kamal from 'Vettayadu Vellayadu' I definitely think that they should retire from films gracefully.

I definitely do not want to see Rajini do a 'Madurayay meetiya sundarapandian' by MGR when he was a geriatric. Come on guys give them a break and watch them fade gracefully in the sunset.

Even the real commandos don't expect a 40-45 year old man to go and fight terrorist or criminals, then why the hell should Kamal portray such a role. I can accept Surya in 'Kaakha Kaakha' as a cop, but Kamal, no way.
